Police Investigate Deadly Single-Vehicle Crash in Wilkinsburg

WILKINSBURG, PA – Early Saturday morning, the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit was called to investigate a deadly vehicle accident in Wilkinsburg.

At approximately 7:24 a.m., emergency services were alerted by County 9-1-1 to a crash at the intersection of Swissvale Ave and Wallace Ave. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a juvenile male driver deceased and a juvenile male passenger who was in stable condition.

Initial reports indicate that the vehicle collided with a utility pole and subsequently caught fire. Detectives have commenced their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
