Police investigating a second shooting at the same intersection in Throgsneck

NEW YORK, NY – Last week, a 31-year-old woman was shot inside a deli at the intersection of Quincy Avenue and Dewey Avenue in Throgsneck. On Thursday, gunshots erupted at the same intersection. This time, nobody was hurt.

Detectives with the New York City Police Department’s 45th Precinct are investigating a shooting on Thursday at around 10:30 p.m. According to the police, a man was walking near the intersection of Quincy Avenue and Dewey Avenue when he pulled out a gun and began firing it toward an unknown individual walking in the opposite direction.

The victim was not struck. Police found a bullet hole in a nearby parked vehicle.

The suspect fled the scene. No arrests have been made.

The individual is described as a male with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket with a black stripe, a gray hoodie, and black/white sneakers. 

Police did not say if the two shootings were related.
