Police Investigating After Infant DOA at Staten Island Hospital

NEW YORK, NY – On Saturday, officers were dispatched to an emergency call at 240 Broadway around 6:46 AM. They found a one-month-old boy unconscious and unresponsive. Emergency medical services transported the infant to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was declared deceased.

Visible trauma was noted on the child’s left arm. Two individuals were detained in connection with the incident. The cause of death will be determined by the Chief Medical Examiner, and authorities are continuing their investigation.

The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed as family notification is pending.
