Police investigating armed carjacking in Crofton

CROFTON, MD – On Friday, just after midnight, officers responded to a report of an armed carjacking in the 1600 block of Walleye Drive in Crofton.

The victim informed officers that he had parked his vehicle in front of his residence after returning home from work. As he exited his car, he was approached by two black male suspects, one armed with a handgun. The suspects demanded the victim’s car keys and forcibly took them from his pocket before fleeing the scene in the victim’s black 2014 Nissan Maxima 4-door sedan.

Western District detectives are actively investigating the incident and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects. The suspects are described as two black males with slim builds, possibly in their late teens to early 20s, last seen wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts and dark jeans.
