Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Tremont Hotel

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A robbery incident that happened on Wednesday, July 5, is being investigated by the New York City Police Department.

At around 4:20 am, inside the Tremont Hotel at 750 East Tremont Avenue, an unidentified male confronted a 37-year-old woman.

The suspect brandished a firearm, forcibly removing a chain from the woman’s neck and a cellphone from her possession.

He then discharged his firearm towards a 33-year-old man before escaping on foot, heading southbound on Prospect Avenue.

No injuries were reported from this incident.
