Police Investigating Death of 5-Year-Old in Capitol Heights, Homicide Suspected

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD – Police are investigating the death of 5-year-old Pradeline Delinois on Friday. Today the Prince George’s County Police Department said the investigation is now a homicide investigation.

According to police, officers with the Capitol Heights Police Department responded to the 5100 block of Cumberland Street for the report of an unresponsive child. Delinois was rushed to a hospital in Washington, DC, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in the District of Columbia conducted an autopsy. That examination determined the victim’s cause of death to be blunt force trauma and the manner was ruled a homicide.
