According to the Prince William County Police Department, officers responded to a report of gunfire outside the Potomac Mills mall, located at 2700 Potomac Mills Circle. When they arrived, they found Gundona suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Officers provided first aid before he was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
Investigators say the shooting stemmed from an altercation between Gundona and another man inside a vehicle parked at the mall. After being shot, Gundona exited the vehicle and collapsed nearby.
Suspect fled the scene, police seek witnesses
The suspect reportedly left the area in another vehicle before officers arrived. Detectives believe the shooting was targeted and not a random act of violence.
