COLUMBUS, OH – Police are investigating a freeway shooting near Downtown Columbus that sent one man to the hospital, shot in front of two young children.
According to police, a red four-door sedan was involved in the shooting that took place on Friday. Today, police released dashcam footage captured by a third party that showed the vehicles involved in the incident.
According to police, the incident was sparked by a fight between two groups of people earlier and carried out into the freeway.
A male occupant of the vehicle was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, but is expected to survive.
Inside the car at the time were a woman and two children. None of them were injured.
Police responded to the area of Alum Creek Drive where the victim was treated on scene by members of the Columbus Fire Department before being transported.
