Police Investigating Murder-Suicide After Dumfries Couple Found Dead

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Prince William County police have released new details regarding the deaths of a couple found inside their Dumfries home in early August, which they now believe to be a murder-suicide.

On August 7, just before 10 p.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of Fort Monroe Court, where they discovered 30-year-old Ashleigh Kaylynn Cash and 33-year-old Davaughn Jamaal Henderson dead from gunshot wounds. A friend of the couple contacted police after finding their bodies.

Investigators determined that Cash and Henderson were in a domestic relationship. They believe an altercation between the two escalated, leading Henderson to shoot Cash before taking his own life. A gun was recovered at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
