Police investigating shooting death in Roxbury

BOSTON, MA – On Saturday, at around 10:17 pm, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a call for a person shot at 2055 Columbus Avenue in Roxbury. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.

Community members can also submit tips by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463). The Boston Police Department will stringently guard and protect the identities of all those who wish to help this investigation in an anonymous manner.
