Police Investigating Shooting in Richmond’s East End

RICHMOND, VA – The Richmond Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Tuesday morning in the East End area of the city. At 10:03 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Coalter Street following a shooting report.

Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Richmond Police Department is actively conducting an investigation into this incident.

Detective S. Jones of the Major Crimes Division is leading the investigation. The Richmond Police Department is seeking assistance from the public for any information related to the shooting.
