Police investigating shooting in Severn

SEVERN, MD – Gunshots were fired around 2:30 am on Wednesday, in Meade Village, according to the Western District Police Department. Officers patrolling the vicinity reported hearing several shots and noticed a vehicle speeding away. Despite their efforts, the vehicle could not be located.

Shortly thereafter, a patient arrived at a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, believed to be related to the incident. Shell casings were discovered near Meade Village Circle and Meade Village Road. Two homes on the 1600 block of Briarwood Court were hit by stray bullets.
