Police Investigating Shooting Incident and Motor Vehicle Crash

FREDERICK, MD – Police in Frederick are investigating a shooting and an accident that were possibly related to each other on Tuesday.

According to police, at around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers from the Frederick Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 1000 Heather Ridge Drive for a reported discharge of a firearm.

“While officers were responding, additional 911 calls were received about a vehicle accident in the area of Taney Avenue and Young place. Evidence was located at both locations connecting the incidents. As of Tuesday afternoon, it is not believed anyone was struck by the gunfire,” police said.
