Police Investigating Shooting on 61st Street

Philadelphia, PA – On Monday, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a shooting occurred at 1xx North 61st Street. A 32-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. The victim drove himself to HUP Cedar, where he was stabilized and later transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by a private ambulance.

The scene is currently being held, and a person of interest is in custody for further investigation by the Shooting Investigation Group. No weapon has been recovered at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
