Police Investigating Subway Robbery

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A grand larceny occurred in transit on Tuesday, around 4:00 am.

The New York City Police Department is asking to the public for aid in identifying the suspect.

A 36-year-old male, traveling northbound on a “2” train at Southern Boulevard and East 174 Street subway station, was suddenly accosted by an unidentified male. The suspect snatched the victim’s iPhone 14 and departed the scene. The phone’s value is estimated at $800.

The suspected thief is described as a male, dark complexioned, aged 16-18, standing at 5’8″, weighing around 150 pounds, last seen in blue jeans, a dark blue hoodie with a yellow or gold logo, and white sneakers.
