Police-Involved Car Crash Under Investigation in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – An early morning collision involving a police vehicle occurred at the intersection of 57th Street and Larchwood Avenue within the 18th District. The incident took place at 6:09 AM and involved a marked patrol car operated by a Philadelphia police officer and a private vehicle.

Fortunately, the officer involved in the accident was not injured. However, the occupant of the private vehicle sustained injuries and was transported by Medic 9 to Jefferson Hospital for evaluation.

The scene of the accident is currently being preserved for further investigation, with the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) taking the lead.
