Police Make Arrest Following Violent D.C. Dispute

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man has been taken into custody by the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch for his role in a violent altercation that left another man critically injured.

The incident unfolded in the early morning hours of April 9 on the 1700 block of Columbia Road Northwest. Responding officers found an adult male victim who had been assaulted during a fight, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He is currently hospitalized in grave condition.

Following the investigation, police arrested 35-year-old Brandon Jones, who is homeless, on charges of Aggravated Assault. Jones had fled the scene after the attack.
