Police Make Arrest in Wilkes-Barre Assault

WILKES-BARRE, PA – An assault was reported in Wilkes-Barre on October 17th, involving 45-year-old Alex Vigo from Hanover Township and a 39-year-old victim from Wilkes-Barre.

The incident occurred at South Main Street at 12:55 PM. Officers arrived after being dispatched to the South Main Plaza, where they contacted the victim.

According to the victim, Vigo approached her, stated a threatening remark, and tried to hit her with a collapsible baton. She protected herself by blocking the assault with her arm, and Vigo then fled the scene.

The victim informed officers that Vigo was a former roommate whom she had evicted. Vigo was subsequently found and taken into custody near 15 South Main Street, transported to City Headquarters for processing, and held for arraignment.
