Police make quick arrest in Bronx elevator room murder case

NEW YORK, NY – Police have arrested 34-year-old Ricardo Nieves of Harrod Avenue in the Bronx for the murder of a 52-year-old man inside an elevator room in a Bronx building.

Nieves is accused of stabbing the man in the neck and leaving him to die inside 765 East 175th Street. When police arrived, 52-year-old Andre Harry was already dead.

EMS determined Harry was stabbed in the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The homicide occurred at around 3:30 pm on Saturday. On Sunday, police announced they have captured Nieves and charged him with murder.
