Police Nab Suspect in D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A suspect has been arrested following a shooting incident in Northeast D.C. that occurred earlier in the month.

The shooting was reported on May 5 at around 2:10 PM in the 3800 block of Jay Street, where responding Sixth District officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

On May 19, following the issuance of a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 46-year-old Antonio Lucas from Northwest, D.C. was taken into custody.

Lucas has been charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
