Police release surveillance footage of Washington Heights home invasion suspects

NEW YORK CITY – As part of the ongoing investigation into a home invasion and robbery incidentin Washington Heights, the New York City Police Department has released additional surveillance video and photos depicting the suspects involved.

The two male suspects, both thin and aged 50-55, posed as police officers and approached the 39-year-old male victim while exiting his residential apartment building near West 180 Street and St. Nicholas Avenue on March 21, 2023.

The suspects displayed firearms and handcuffed the victim before entering his apartment with his keys. Upon encountering other occupants inside the apartment, the suspects fled the scene on foot to parts unknown. There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.

The NYPD is urging anyone with information regarding this case to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline to help identify and apprehend these individuals.
