Police Retrieve Body from Connecticut River

WATERBURY, CT– An investigation is ongoing following the discovery of a body floating in a Connecticut river. The incident took place in New Haven County on Friday, near 135 East Liberty Street in Waterbury, at around 11:10 a.m.

According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, the body was retrieved from the Mad River and confirmed deceased. Authorities have not disclosed the gender of the individual discovered.
