Police Search For Burglary Suspect Caught On Camera

NEWARK, NJ – The Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying a burglary suspect who was caught on surveillance camera.

The suspect allegedly removed several items from Newton School on July 10.

Officers responded to the incident at approximately 1:40 a.m., where multiple items, including sneakers, tools, and a tent were taken.

The suspect, a light-skinned Black male, was captured on surveillance inside the building.

The man was last seen wearing a surgical mask, a blue stripe T-shirt beneath an orange reflective vest, a fitted cap with a logo, blue jeans, and black sneakers. Anyone with information regarding the suspect or the incident is asked to come forward.
