Police Search for Man After Sexual Abuse Incident in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Authorities are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a misdemeanor sexual abuse incident that took place early Sunday morning in Northwest Washington.

At approximately 12:40 a.m., a suspect made unwanted sexual contact with a victim walking along the sidewalk in the 2600 block of Woodley Place, Northwest. The suspect, described by police as a Black male in his 30s, approximately 5’8” tall, and last seen wearing jeans, fled the scene. The victim was not injured.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip via text to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.
