Police Search For Missing Boy In Newark

NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Public Safety Department is urgently requesting the public’s assistance in locating 11-year-old Quayon Brown, who was reported missing today. The search began after a verbal altercation with his mother led to his disappearance.

Quayon was last seen in the vicinity of the 400 block of Hawthorne Avenue, dressed in a white T-shirt, khaki pants, and black Jordans. Standing 4’9” tall and weighing 130 pounds, he has a medium brown complexion and is known to frequent the Hawkins Street area.

Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is calling on anyone with information on Quayon’s whereabouts to contact the Police Division’s Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Information provided is confidential and may be eligible for a reward.
