QUEENS, N.Y. — Police are looking for an unidentified suspect who stole three cellphones from a store employee during a confrontation last month at a commercial establishment in Whitestone.

The incident occurred on Sunday, June 22, at approximately 8:15 p.m. at a business located at 150-11 14th Avenue, according to police. Authorities said the suspect entered the establishment and began arguing with a 59-year-old woman who works there.

During the verbal dispute, the suspect allegedly engaged in a physical struggle with the victim and forcibly took three personal cellphones from her hands. Police said the individual had no permission or authority to remove the devices.

No injuries were reported, and the suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The New York City Police Department has not released any images or descriptions of the suspect at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
