Police searching for additional suspects who robbed 15-year-old boy on NYC bus

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is investigating a robbery and assault that occurred on a Q43 bus traveling westbound on Hillside Avenue, on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. At around 2:30 pm, a group of four males approached a 15-year-old boy, forcibly removed his wallet, and made him exit the bus at the 168 Street and Hillside Avenue stop.

After forcing the victim to walk with them to 169-06 Highland Avenue, the group assaulted him. The boy suffered injuries to his face and head and was transported to Cohen’s Children Hospital in stable condition.

On Thursday, April 20, a 15-year-old male was apprehended and charged with robbery, assault, criminal possession of stolen property, and harassment. The investigation is ongoing.
