Police Searching for Man Who Robbed Eye Glass Center in Newark

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Police Department detectives are trying to identify a man who robbed an eye glass store on Tuesday.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé, police responded to a burglar alarm at approximately 1:46 a.m. at the Urban Eyes Vision Center, located in the 200 block of Ferry Street.

“When they arrived, the glass door to the entrance of the business had been shattered with a brick by the suspect, who was captured on surveillance video. Once he gained entry, the suspect removed several items from the business and fled westbound on Ferry Street,” Frage said.
