Police searching suspect who robber Big Lots clerk while giving change

COLUMBUS, OH – On August 31, 2021, at 1:31 pm, a male suspect entered the Big Lots store at 5419 Roberts Rd., selected a beverage from the cooler, and approached the counter.

The victim clerk rang up the beverage and the suspect gave her a $5 bill.

As the clerk opened the register the suspect jumped the counter and displayed a brass knuckle-type knife.

The victim backed away and the suspect took the cash from the register. The suspect fled the store on foot and was last seen running eastbound.

The suspect was described as a male, light brown complexion, black hair, 5’8″ tall, 140lbs, wearing a black t-shirt, dark pants, blue surgical mask, and armed with a black brass knuckle type knife.
