MANHATTAN, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred in Upper Manhattan last month.
According to police reports, the incident took place on Monday, July 15, at approximately 9:36 p.m. A 40-year-old man was standing in front of 1974 2nd Avenue when two unidentified individuals approached him. The suspects allegedly punched the victim multiple times in the face and body before removing his wallet from his front pocket.
The suspects then fled the scene on foot, heading southbound on 2nd Avenue. Emergency Medical Services arrived and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Metropolitan, where he was treated and is reported to be in stable condition.
The first suspect is described as a male with a slim build and medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hat, grey hooded sweatshirt, red sweatpants, and grey sneakers.
The second suspect is described as a male with a slim build and dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, red shorts, and black sneakers.
The NYPD has released images of the suspects and is urging anyone with information about the incident or the individuals involved to come forward.
