Police seek suspect in Absecon armed robbery

ABSECON, NJ – The Absecon Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on New Jersey Avenue in the downtown business district.

The incident happened on Monday just after 7:30 p.m., according to police.

A 9-1-1 caller reported that an unidentified male brandished a knife and demanded money from a local business owner.

The business owner managed to flee the establishment without injury, and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a Black or African American male, aged 25 to 35 years old, with a height of 5’3” to 5’7” and a weight of 145 to 175 lbs.

The Absecon Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
