Police Seek Suspect in Armed Robbery of Avenue A Convenience Store

New York City Police Department dispatched to crime scene.

NEW YORK, NY – An unknown individual broke into a store at 105 Avenue A on Monday, October 9, 2023, around 4:30 a.m., and fled with $600 and store merchandise after displaying a firearm.

The suspect forcibly entered the establishment by breaking the glass door and began removing money from the register. A 23-year-old male employee confronted the individual, who then displayed a firearm and took $600 and store items before fleeing the scene.

The employee was not injured.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9″ tall with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black mask, black jacket, and black pants. Notably, he was wearing red and white sneakers, one with red laces and the other with blue laces.
