Police Seek Three Suspects in Robbery at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center Subway Station

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects involved in a robbery on the southbound D train platform at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center Station on Thursday night.

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on September 12, 2024. A 22-year-old male was approached by an unidentified individual who demanded his necklace. A physical altercation ensued, during which a second individual punched the victim in the face, causing him to drop his cellphone. A third individual acted as a lookout.

During the struggle, the first individual removed the victim’s necklace, while the second individual took his cellphone. The property stolen is valued at approximately $2,100. The suspects then fled the station on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention.

The individuals sought by police are described as males with dark complexion. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the NYPD.
