Police seeking leads in shooting of 23-year-old Yasin Jones

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – Police are actively searching the gunman responsible for the shooting of 23-year-old Yasin Jones at the junction of Cokey and South Fairview roads, just southeast of Rocky Mount earlier this week.

Jones was treated for his injuries and released, according to police Capt. Westlyn Seabreeze.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing as police are working to gather evidence and identify potential suspects.

Capt. Seabreeze urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist in bringing the responsible party to justice.

As of now, no further information has been released about possible motives or suspects. No arrests have been made.
