NEW YORK, NY – Police in New York are searching for a man who took down a flying pride flag from a building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side last weekend and defecated on it.
Detectives are now asking for the public’s help to identify the man who was caught on camera defecating on a Pride flag and wiping himself with another one before fleeing the scene.
The incident took place on Saturday, April 15, at approximately 10 a.m. at 201 West 95th Street.
The suspect, described as a 40-year-old male with a dark complexion and medium build, was wearing a dark-colored jacket, light-colored pants, a black hat, one dark-colored sneaker, and one white sneaker at the time of the incident.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident, and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
