ALLENTOWN, PA — The Allentown Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance regarding a case of puppy theft in the area.

The incident occurred during a basketball tournament at Valania Park on Sunday. The stolen puppy, noticed missing amid the event, has prompted the police to ask anyone with information to come forward.

The puppy named Stanley was reported stolen on Saturday around 7 PM near 5th and Union streets.

The owner expressed profound distress, noting the emotional impact on the family, especially on a family member who had just begun to bond with Stanley. The owner remains hopeful that Stanley is being well-cared for, despite the circumstances.

The community is urged to report any relevant information or sightings of the stolen puppies to help resolve these distressing thefts. Non-emergency inquiries can be directed to 610-437-7751.
