Police seeking suspect in MTA bus groping incident

NEW YORK CITY - MAY 7, 2013: MTA Hybrid Electric Bus Route 5 on Fifth Avenue at 42nd Street, New York City, USA.

NEW YORK CITY, NY – An incident of forcible touching was reported on Sunday, May 7, at approximately 12:10 pm near Avenue U in Brooklyn’s Marine Park section.

The New York City Police Department is investigating the case, where a 53-year-old female victim was approached by an unknown male on a northbound MTA B46 bus near 5100 Avenue U. The individual reportedly touched the victim inappropriately over her clothing and then exited the bus. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 40-50 years old, around 6’0”, skinny build, bald, missing teeth, last seen in a blue jacket and dark pants. The Police Department is urging anyone with information to assist in the investigation.
