Police Thwart Carjacking at Delaware Park

WILMINGTON, DE – Natural Resources Police, assisted by local police and Delaware State Police, are investigating an attempted carjacking that took place at Bellevue State Park on Friday at around 3:30 pm.

A patrol and helicopter search was conducted within the park premises.

Two suspects have been taken into custody following the search. The park has been declared safe, and no additional suspects are believed to be within the area. Bellevue State Park is currently open to the public.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details are yet to be released.

Natural Resources Police are leading the investigation and are being assisted by other local law enforcement agencies. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Natural Resources Police.
