Wilkes-Barre man arrested after alleged assault during domestic dispute

WILKES-BARRE, PA — A 55-year-old man was taken into custody Thursday afternoon after police say he struck and kicked a woman during a domestic dispute on South Franklin Street.

Officers were dispatched to the residence at 2:18 p.m. on October 2 for a reported altercation. When they arrived, a 52-year-old woman told police she had argued with the suspect, identified as Glenn Hinnant of Wilkes-Barre.

According to the victim, Hinnant struck her in the face with a closed fist, then kicked her knee, causing her to fall to the ground.

Hinnant was arrested at the scene and transported to City Headquarters for processing and arraignment.

The victim’s condition has not been disclosed.
