HOWARD COUNTY, MD – On Tuesday, Howard County police responded to a report at the 5200 block of Five Fingers Way in Columbia. The officers arrived at the scene at around 1 p.m. to find two male victims with gunshot wounds.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Michael Bassler, 25, shot his younger brother, Steven Bassler, 15, before turning the weapon on himself.
The motive is currently unknown, and there is no evidence suggesting the involvement of a third party.
