Pre-dawn violence leaves Baltimore man hospitalized with gunshot wounds

BALTIMORE, MD — A man was hospitalized after being shot early Saturday morning in the city’s Southwestern District, police said.

Officers responded to the 2300 block of Frederick Avenue at approximately 3:39 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.

At the scene, police found the victim suffering from injuries to the head and buttocks. Medics transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released details about a suspect or possible motive in the shooting.
