Prince Frederick Fire Department Battled Home Fire in Huntingtown

HUNTINGTOWN, MD – On Sunday, around 4 p.m., the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department responded to a working fire reported on South View Drive in Huntingtown, Md. Engine 21 was the first on the scene and found heavy fire showing from the garage of the single family home.  Their crews made a swift and aggressive attack, stopping the flames from spreading to the main portion of the home. Chief 6 (Huntingtown) held command of the incident, while Chief 2-A E. Holzberger had interior. The homeowners and all four of their dogs made it out safely. Those animals were held inside Chief 2-A’s command unit until it was safe to be reunited with their family.
