Prisoner Escapes Custody from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Yonkers

YONKERS, NY – Early Sunday morning, Geraldo Rojas, a man in custody for Robbery in the first, second, and third degree, managed to escape from the custody of Westchester County Department of Corrections Officers at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

The Yonkers Police Department has now joined the Westchester County Department of Public Safety in the ongoing search for Rojas.

Rojas had been under the eye of officers when he found an opportunity to escape. At present, all available resources are being utilized to locate Rojas and ensure his return to custody.

With Rojas at large, the Yonkers Police Department is seeking assistance from the public. Any information related to Rojas’ whereabouts can be reported to the Yonkers Police Department at (914) 377-7900.
