Public Intoxication Arrest on South Pennsylvania Avenue

Wilkes-Barre City Police responded to a call regarding a public intoxication incident on June 19th, 2024, at 12:24 p.m. The incident took place at 94 South Pennsylvania Avenue.

Officers arrived at the scene to find 34-year-old Dennis Gilmartin of Norristown, PA, who was visibly under the influence of a controlled substance. Police determined that Gilmartin was a danger to himself due to his condition.

Gilmartin was taken into custody and held until he was sober. The police continue to handle the situation following standard procedures for public intoxication cases.
