Public’s Help Sought in Germantown Avenue Shooting Incident

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group are seeking the public’s help for information about a shooting that occurred at 3707 Germantown Ave. On May 12, 2023, a 32-year-old male with his infant son was on the sidewalk when he was approached by an unknown black male.

The two briefly exchanged words before the unknown male fired six rounds from a semi-automatic firearm, striking the victim four times in the left leg. The victim was rushed to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The suspect is described as a black male with a full beard and medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, gray hoodie with a large front logo, and black pants.
