QUARRYVILLE, PA – Following a seven-month-long investigation, Quarryville Police Department recently arrested Shane Howe on charges of sexual assault against an 11-year-old girl.

The case began on December 2, 2022, when a Quarryville officer responded to a call at a home on West Stanton Road. During this visit, the young girl disclosed the ongoing abuse by Howe, an adult living in the same household. The officer obtained physical evidence from the girl’s room relevant to the allegations.

DNA samples collected via search warrants matched genetic material left by Howe. Further, the victim’s statements during a forensic interview corroborated the physical evidence found. Howe was taken into custody on Thursday at his residence and transported to Lancaster County Prison for arraignment.
