Queens shooting under investigation, no injuries reported

QUEENS, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual connected to an attempted assault that occurred on March 18, 2023, at the intersection of Elmhurst Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue in Queens.

The unknown individual reportedly displayed a firearm and discharged multiple rounds at another unidentified person. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage were reported.

The suspect fled the scene, heading north on Elmhurst Avenue.

The NYPD is urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to come forward and assist in the investigation. The public can contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline or submit their tips online, with all calls and submissions being strictly confidential.

A photo of the individual has been released by the NYPD’s DCPI, in hopes that someone may recognize the suspect.
