Queens Man Arrested in Connection with Franklin Avenue Assault

Queens, NY – A 39-year-old man, Augusto Pacheco of 142-01 Franklin Avenue, Queens, NY, has been arrested and charged with second-degree assault following an incident that occurred on January 12. Authorities reported that at about 9:45 AM, near Franklin Avenue and Union Street, a 65-year-old man was attacked by an assailant. The attacker struck the victim in the face, causing him to fall to the ground and sustain minor injuries. The perpetrator then fled the scene on foot in an unspecified direction.

Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The arrest came as a result of an ongoing investigation by local law enforcement. Pacheco was apprehended on January 25 at around 11:30 AM within the jurisdiction of the 109th Precinct.
