BRONX, N.Y. — A 38-year-old woman was fatally stabbed early Friday morning in the Bronx, leading to the arrest of a Queens man on multiple charges, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call about an assault in progress at 1479 Macombs Road at approximately 3:31 a.m., within the 44th Precinct. They found Britney Webb with multiple stab wounds to her chest and back, authorities reported.

Emergency medical services transported Webb to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. A second victim, a 46-year-old man, was privately transported to the same hospital with a stab wound to his left leg and is listed in stable condition, according to police.

Later that evening, police arrested Lamont Wilson, 46, of Queens, in connection with the incident. He has been charged with second-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, first-degree manslaughter, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing is ongoing, police said.
