Queens, NY – A 13-year-old boy was gunned down on a busy stretch of Linden Boulevard Monday morning, succumbing to his injuries two days later, police said.
At around 8:21 a.m. on September 22, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot in front of 208-15 Linden Boulevard in the 105th Precinct. When they arrived, they found the victim, identified as Sanjay Samuel of Queens, with a gunshot wound to the head.
Emergency responders rushed Samuel to Cohen Children’s Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition. He died on Wednesday, September 24, from his injuries, authorities confirmed.
No arrests have been made, and police say the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and canvassing the area for witnesses as they search for the suspect.
